Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF-1) and Schwannomatosis
The Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) Clinic is a one-stop medical home for children with NF1, a genetic condition that can cause noncancerous tumors to form along nerves. Because NF1 varies in severity and symptoms, we bring together all the subspecialists essential to tailoring a treatment plan to each child's needs. We offer patient and family education, developmental support, preventive care, coordinated same-day diagnostic testing and access to cutting-edge treatments.
For pediatric patients approaching age 18, we work closely with the adult NF1 clinic to ensure a seamless transition to adult care.
