The Urology program at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals provides comprehensive, compassionate care for babies and children with urological or genital problems. These conditions range from common issues such as bed-wetting and urinary tract infections to structural disorders such as hernias and undescended testicles to serious birth defects requiring surgical correction. Our doctors are experienced in the latest diagnostic methods and trained in the most up-to-date approaches to treatment.
In fact, UCSF pediatric urologists pioneered many techniques that allow formerly complex surgeries to be performed as minimally invasive procedures, so that little ones have only tiny incisions and can go home the same day they're treated. The surgical team also specializes in treating patients whose previous surgeries failed.
