Amanda Marinoff

Dr. Amanda Marinoff is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist who cares for children with cancer as well as their families. She specializes in treating advanced cancers by applying precision medicine (an individualized approach that factors in genetic and environmental information) and, when appropriate, with promising therapies under evaluation in clinical trials.

In research, Marinoff focuses on identifying biomarkers (measurable substances relevant to a disease) to improve the accuracy of prognoses and on enhancing precision medicine approaches to cancer treatment. She has a special interest in sarcomas (certain tumors that arise in bone or connective tissue). She collaborates with teams in both the lab and the clinic to bring new biomarkers, risk prediction tools and treatment strategies into clinical trials, working toward better outcomes and decreased treatment side effects for pediatric, adolescent and young adult patients with cancer.

Marinoff earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at UCSF.
