UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals offer expert cardiology services to children of all ages, from newborns to teens, as well as to adults living with congenital heart disease. Our program is considered among the best in the U.S. for diagnosing and repairing the most complex heart birth defects. Through our Fetal Cardiovascular Program – one of the largest in Northern California – we can diagnose heart conditions and begin planning treatment well before birth. We care for premature and critically ill infants with congenital heart defects at our Neonatal Cardiovascular Center of Excellence with the aim of supporting their long-term cardiovascular health and neurological development. We also treat heart conditions that arise later in childhood.
Our team includes different types of specialists who focus on heart disease in children, such as pediatric cardiologists, heart surgeons, electrophysiologists, intensive care doctors and nurse specialists. We collaborate with each other and with families to deliver the best possible care in a supportive environment.
