Blood Draw Lab at Lakeshore

The Blood Draw Lab at Lakeshore performs diagnostic or lab tests for patients being cared for in our hospital and clinics as well as for our scientific researchers. Your doctor may order certain tests to better understand your condition. These tests are performed in the areas of chemistry, hematology or blood, immunology, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, toxicology and transfusion medicine.

All of our laboratories perform more than a combined 4.2 million tests each year. Laboratories are state licensed, certified under the federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments and accredited with distinction by the College of American Pathologists.

Please note that this lab:

  • Cannot accommodate urgent requests
  • Does not perform glucose tolerance testing

If your specimen must be processed immediately or you need a glucose tolerance test, please visit one of our other labs, located at Parnassus, Mission Bay and Mount Zion.
