Brittany Hasty

Dr. Brittany Hasty is a pediatric surgeon. She cares for children with a wide range of conditions, including traumatic injuries, that require or would benefit from surgical treatment.

In her research, Hasty focuses on improving the quality and safety of care for children and families through enhanced education of medical teams. She has a particular focus on how simulation training in clinics can help teams perform better and optimize outcomes for patients.

Hasty earned her medical degree at Boston University. She completed a residency in surgery at Loyola University Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Alberta Children's Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Calgary in Canada. She also completed postdoctoral studies in surgical education at Stanford University and earned a master of health professions education degree at the University of Illinois Chicago.
