Thyroid and Thyroid Cancer Clinic
The UCSF Pediatric Thyroid and Thyroid Cancer Clinic diagnoses and cares for children with thyroid conditions such as thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules and autoimmune thyroid disease, including Graves’ and Hashimoto’s diseases. As part of the endocrinology and metabolism division, our clinic also screens for thyroid cancer and thyroid disease in patients with inherited tumor predisposition syndromes such as multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) syndromes.
Our clinic combines the knowledge and skills of experts in the field along with resources such as imaging, biopsy and genetic testing to tailor treatment for your child. We work closely with other specialists at UCSF, including those in endocrine and general surgery; ear, nose and throat (ENT) care; pediatric oncology; medical genetics; and pathology to provide patients with comprehensive care.
