Yusra Aziz

Yusra Aziz is a genetic counselor who helps patients and families understand the medical, psychological and familial implications of hereditary cancer. She assesses a person’s cancer risk by interpreting their personal and family medical histories alongside their genetic testing results, supporting patients as they make informed health care decisions.

Aziz is passionate about addressing health disparities in genetics through equitable access to genetic counseling and education.

Aziz earned her master's degree in genetic counseling at the University of Texas Genetic Counseling Program, which is administered through the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in association with McGovern Medical School.
