About me

Thomas Clennell is a physical therapist who specializes in sports medicine. He works with injured young athletes to develop and implement treatment plans that help them return safely to their chosen sport. His specialties include care for youths recovering from surgery; post-concussion care; and care for those who play overhead sports (in which the upper arm and shoulder reach above and behind the head), including baseball, softball, swimming, volleyball and water polo. He has provided physical therapy for young people in Oakland for more than 10 years.

After earning a bachelor's degree in integrative biology at the University of California, Berkeley, Clennell earned a doctor of physical therapy degree at Samuel Merritt University. He is a certified specialist in sports physical therapy and has served as a consultant to trainers from the National Football League and National Basketball Association to help players recover from concussions. Clennell is a lifelong Bay Area resident who wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
