Dr. Peter Oishi is a specialist who cares for patients in the pediatric intensive care units, including the specialized unit for infants and children with heart conditions.

Oishi earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College and completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. At UCSF, he completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine, followed by a research fellowship at the Cardiovascular Research Institute.

Oishi has received numerous awards, including research support from the National Institutes of Health's Pediatric Critical Care and Trauma Scientist Development Program and a young investigators award from Actelion Pharmaceuticals. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and Society of Critical Care Medicine.
