Lisa Hail is a psychologist who cares for patients with eating disorders at UCSF Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital and Clinics.

Hail's research focuses on improving the approach to identifying individuals struggling with eating disorders, with the goal of providing earlier access to care. She is also interested in enhancing established treatments to help a greater number of patients achieve a full recovery.

Hail earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. As a doctoral candidate, she trained in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai's Eating and Weight Disorders Program. She then completed her clinical psychology training at UCSF as a member of the Eating Disorders Program.

Hail co-chairs an assessment and diagnosis special interest group of the Academy for Eating Disorders.
