Lena Ngo is a nurse who cares for hospitalized children who need pain management. She relieves the pain of patients using treatments ranging from pain medications to complementary therapies. She specializes in acupressure, aromatherapy and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator therapy (the use of low-voltage electricity to treat pain). Ngo is particularly interested in standardizing how doctors and nurses assess an individual's pain and treat pain-related symptoms and educating other providers on these procedures.

Ngo earned her master's degree in nursing from San Francisco State University School of Nursing.
