Dr. Jennifer Carlson is a specialist in caring for adolescents and young adults. She sees patients in both the hospital and the clinic. She has a special interest in treating patients with eating disorders, particularly those with a condition known as relative energy deficiency in sport (when an athlete doesn't eat enough to meet their energy needs) or avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (when someone severely limits the types or amounts of food they will eat).

In research, Carlson has focused on improving medical care for patients with eating disorders and enhancing the digital health experience for patients, families and providers.

Carlson earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Vermont Children's Hospital and a fellowship in adolescent medicine at UCSF.
