Dr. Garani S. Nadaraja is a surgeon who cares for children with ear, nose and throat problems. She has particular interests in pediatric hearing loss, chronic ear infections, cholesteatomas (abnormal skin growths in the middle ear), sinus disease, airway abnormalities, and snoring or sleep apnea. She is medical director and section chief of the pediatric otolaryngology service at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland.

Nadaraja's research interests include understanding how socioeconomic disparities impact access to pediatric subspecialty care.

Nadaraja earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed a residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine and a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Rady Children's Hospital – San Diego, an affiliate of the University of California, San Diego.
