Dr. Gabriel Salinas Cisneros is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist who cares for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants. He has a special interest in finding ways to prevent complications from the procedure.

Salinas Cisneros' research focuses on sinusoidal obstructive syndrome, a bone marrow transplant complication in which the liver's small blood vessels become blocked. He is a member of the Latin American Bone Marrow Transplantation Group.

Salinas Cisneros earned his medical degree at Universidad de San Martín de Porres in Peru. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at Children's National Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric bone marrow transplantation at UCSF.
