Dr. Brian L. Montenegro is a neonatologist, a specialist in caring for premature babies and newborns who have birth defects, injuries or illnesses.
In research, Montenegro focuses on assessing the best available evidence in order to identify ways of increasing the quality of patient care.
Montenegro earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. While completing a fellowship in neonatal and perinatal medicine at Harvard Medical School, he also participated in its Global Clinical Scholars Research Training program.
Montenegro spends free time reading nonfiction as well as watching and playing sports – passions that ensure he is never bored.
