Dr. Bridget LaMonica Ostrem is a pediatric neurologist who provides care in both the hospital and the clinic. She specializes in brain injuries in newborns and neurological problems in utero and in pregnant people. She cares for babies, children and young adults, and has additional expertise in headaches, neuroinflammatory conditions and seizures.

Ostrem's research focuses on developing new treatments for brain injuries in newborns and for neuroinflammatory conditions, such as multiple sclerosis. She is a member of the Child Neurology Society and part of the UCSF Innovative Program for Repair and Remyelination and UCSF Newborn Brain Research Institute.

Ostrem earned her medical degree and a doctorate in neuroscience at UCSF. She completed a residency in pediatric neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in women's neurology at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Ostrem lives in San Francisco's Sunset District with her partner and children. She enjoys spending time with her family at the beach and in Golden Gate Park.
