Pediatric nurse practitioner
Anne Hagbom Andrews is a pediatric nurse practitioner who works with families of children and adolescents undergoing anesthesia. She takes health histories and performs physical exams.
Andrews educates patients and their families about anesthesia, goes over what to expect on the day of the patient's procedure and reviews fasting instructions. She communicates with the pediatric anesthesia, perioperative and surgical teams to ensure thorough, patient-centered care.
Andrews earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Boston College. She then earned a master's degree in nursing from UCSF's Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program.
