Martina Mooney is a family nurse practitioner who helps families prepare their children for procedures requiring general anesthesia. She cares for babies, children and adolescents, and also adults with pediatric conditions requiring the expertise of a specialty surgeon.

Mooney has an extensive background in pediatrics, having worked as a bedside nurse and a nurse practitioner in pediatric oncology. She also worked in family practice, providing primary care to individuals across the lifespan. With her passion for the educational component of nursing, she values helping families understand the process of an experience that can be overwhelming.

After earning a dual bachelor's degree in psychology and biology at Santa Clara University, Mooney earned her registered nursing certification and her master's degree in family nursing from UCSF. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
