Dr. Hannah Glass is a pediatric neurologist, founding co-director of the UCSF Neuro-Intensive Care Nursery and director of neurological critical care for newborns at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. She also directs the neonatal neurology fellowship program.

Glass specializes in brain-focused care for children with a variety of neurological conditions diagnosed in the newborn period, including hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (brain injury resulting from a period without oxygen), stroke, seizures and brain injuries following premature birth. She performs comprehensive evaluations for children who experience brain injuries as newborns. She provides care from the neonatal period through childhood.

Glass' research involves using advanced imaging and brain monitoring to predict outcomes following newborn brain injury. She has received funding from the National Institutes of Health, March of Dimes and Pediatric Epilepsy Research Foundation.

Glass earned her medical degree at McGill University and completed a residency in pediatric neurology, serving as chief resident, at Alberta Children's Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Calgary. At UCSF, she completed a fellowship in neonatal neurology and earned a master of advanced study degree in clinical research. She joined the UCSF faculty in 2006.
