Dr. William Temple is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist who cares for children and young adults with cancer and blood diseases. He specializes in bone marrow transplantation and immunotherapy (treatments that help the patient's own immune system fight disease).

In his research, Temple is interested in using the immune system to treat life-threatening illnesses. His goal is to improve the lives of children and young adults with cancer and other serious diseases.

Temple earned his medical degree and completed a residency in pediatrics at UCSF. He also completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology and a second fellowship in pediatric bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapy at UCSF.

Temple is a member of the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, the American Society of Hematology, Children's Oncology Group and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer.
