Neonatologist

Dr. Vidya Pai is a neonatologist who cares for preterm and critically ill newborns. She has a particular interest in treating extremely preterm infants, improving breastmilk and breastfeeding rates in the neonatal intensive care unit, and neurodevelopmental care.

Pai's research has focused on the health outcomes of high-risk infants, disparities in neonatal follow-up care and the importance of regional quality care collaboratives.

Pai earned her medical degree at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, followed by a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. She also completed a master of science in epidemiology and clinical research at Stanford University.
