Dr. Tony T. Yang is a psychiatrist who specializes in diagnosing and treating depression in adolescents.

In his research, Yang studies depression in adolescents using functional MRI, which measures brain activity by detecting changes associated with blood flow. He has received funding support for his research from the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation and National Institute of Mental Health.

Yang earned a doctorate in molecular pathology at the University of California, San Diego, before earning his medical degree from the UC San Diego School of Medicine. He completed a residency in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Stanford University School of Medicine.
