Sunitha Kaiser

Dr. Sunitha Kaiser is a pediatric hospitalist, coordinating and managing the care of infants and children hospitalized for severe or chronic illnesses. She is particularly interested in common respiratory disorders, such as asthma, pneumonia and bronchiolitis.

Kaiser's research focuses on improving the speed and effectiveness with which health care providers integrate the latest research findings into practice, particularly for children hospitalized with respiratory illnesses.

After earning a bachelor's degree in public health studies from Johns Hopkins University, Kaiser received her medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine at UCSF. She also has a master's degree in clinical epidemiology and health care research from the University of Toronto.

Kaiser is a member of the Academic Pediatric Association and American Academy of Pediatrics.
