Sophia Baptista

Sophia Baptista is a social worker who cares for young patients staying in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. She provides her patients and their families with emotional support and connections to resources to help those facing a new diagnosis or heart surgery. She also connects patients and families to appropriate community services.

Baptista earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of San Francisco. Concentrating in direct practice in child and family services, she earned a master's degree in social welfare at the University of California, Berkeley.
