Dr. Sharad I. Wadhwani is a pediatric gastroenterologist and liver specialist who cares for children with gastrointestinal diseases and children undergoing liver transplantation.

Wadhwani's research focuses on understanding how social adversity impacts the care children following a liver transplant. His goal is to identify ways in which health care systems can improve outcomes for these patients.

Wadhwani earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, where he also earned a master of public health degree. He completed a residency in pediatrics at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric transplant hepatology at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco.
