Dr. Nahid Hiermandi is a pediatric infectious disease specialist who cares for patients in both the hospital and clinic. She has a particular interest in preventing and managing infections in children with conditions that compromise their immune function. She is an associate medical director of hospital epidemiology and infection prevention at the Mission Bay campus of UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals.

Hiermandi earned her medical degree at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, part of Midwestern University. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Phoenix Children's Hospital, where she served as chief resident; she then completed a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Texas Children's Hospital, an affiliate of Baylor College of Medicine.
