Molly Walker is a speech-language pathologist who cares for deaf and hard of hearing children. She seeks to guide families to be the best possible language models for their children, whether they choose sign language or listening and spoken language to communicate. To serve as an unbiased resource to families of children with hearing loss, she earned certification as an auditory-verbal therapist and became proficient in American Sign Language.

Walker earned her master's degree in communicative disorders at San Francisco State University.

    Fetal surgery firsts

    The first open fetal surgery in the world was performed at UCSF in the early 1980s.
