Dr. Michael Potter is a family doctor who cares for children as well as adults of all ages.

In his research, Potter focuses on preventive health and the management of chronic illnesses in primary care settings. He also examines how the design of health care systems influences the care of people in the community.

Potter earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency in family practice at UCSF and has been a member of the UCSF faculty since 1994.
