Melissa Ho is an audiologist who provides a broad range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services for children with hearing loss. She has a special focus on cochlear implants (surgically placed devices that help deaf patients perceive sound), and her interests include a multidisciplinary approach to hearing health care, relationship-centered communication (strategies that improve understanding between care providers and patients), student education and community outreach. She finds her greatest reward in partnering with families to improve their children's educational, social, developmental and quality-of-life outcomes. As a Bay Area native, she considers it a privilege to focus her work on helping people in what has been her community since childhood.

Ho received her doctor of audiology degree from San Diego State University.

Ho is a member of the American Auditory Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
