Malia S. Comstock is a nurse practitioner who specializes in caring for patients with congenital heart defects when they are having surgery with anesthesia. She assesses her patients, evaluates their history, provides support in the clinic and coordinates their care with multiple departments, to ensure the best possible outcome for each. Before procedures, she meets with families to explain the anesthetic plan for their child and to answer any questions they have. While her primary focus is caring for children with heart conditions, she also cares for adults with congenital heart disease.

Comstock earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, an associate's degree in nursing from the College of Marin, and a master's degree in nursing from UCSF. She is a member of many professional organizations, including the California Association for Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
