About me

She | Her | Hers

Dr. Lori Mendelsohn is a pediatrician and pediatric hospitalist who specializes in caring for adolescents. Providing care in both the hospital and the clinic, she especially enjoys supporting her patients as they transition out of the hospital.

In her research, Mendelsohn focuses on how hospitals can provide equitable health care experiences, especially for patients in crisis.

Mendelsohn earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine at UCSF.

Mendelsohn was a cross-country athlete in college and now enjoys running half-marathons. When not caring for patients, she likes to explore Bay Area hiking trails and spend time with her fluffy black cat.
