About me

Dr. Lela Bachrach is a pediatrician who specializes in caring for adolescents. She has a particular focus on improving access to reproductive health care for teenagers. She enjoys helping patients optimize their health so they can focus on achieving their goals and dreams.

Bachrach leads a multidisciplinary professional group dedicated to addressing intimate partner violence and ending human trafficking. The team supports survivors from a trauma-informed, public health perspective. She is also active in expanding health education services for adolescents at school-based health centers and partner community-based organizations.

Bachrach earned both her medical degree and master's degree in health and medical sciences via the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program (JMP). She completed a residency in pediatrics in UCSF's PLUS program: Pediatric Leaders Advancing Health Equity.
