Dr. Lauren Schumacher is a psychiatrist who specializes in caring for children and adolescents. She has particular interests in anxiety and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as medical education.

Schumacher earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed a residency in general psychiatry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UCSF.

Schumacher has presented at national conferences, and her honors include awards from several professional associations, such as the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Association for Academic Psychiatry and Northern California Regional Organization of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is the author of a chapter on pharmacological treatment of ADHD for an upcoming textbook on pediatric psychopharmacology (the study of how drugs affect mood, thinking and behavior).
