John Andrews

Dr. John P. Andrews is a neurosurgeon who cares for children with a broad range of neurological conditions, including tumors and vascular and functional disorders. He has a special focus on surgical treatments for epilepsy. His goal is to make the lives of children better.

In his research, Andrews focuses on finding genetic causes of seizures in children and discovering ways to change brain cell activity to stop seizures from occurring.

Andrews earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in neurosurgery at UCSF, followed by a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

In college, Andrews was an NCAA Division I varsity wrestler. His background in athletics taught him discipline, teamwork and the importance of preparing carefully for the moments that matter most. He prides himself on bringing that mindset to pediatric neurosurgery, striving to provide excellent care to improve the lives of children and help families feel supported and heard.
