Jennifer Duong

Dr. Jennifer Duong is a pediatric gastroenterologist. She is dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive and collaborative care to patients with digestive system diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), pancreatic disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), celiac disease, eosinophilic disorders (conditions resulting from overproduction of eosinophils, a type of immune cell) and constipation. She has a special interest in gastrointestinal problems related to cystic fibrosis (CF) and is committed to improving the digestive health of patients with CF by collaborating with specialists from other relevant fields. Her favorite parts of her work are forging lasting relationships with her patients and their families and seeing her patients improve and go on to enjoy vibrant lives.

In her research, Duong is interested in the gut microbiome (community of microorganisms inside the body) and metabolome (all the small molecules in a biological sample) of people with cystic fibrosis, with the goal of understanding their roles in gastrointestinal disease.

Duong earned her medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Seattle Children's Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Washington School of Medicine. She is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
