Jeanne McPhee is a psychologist who cares for children, adolescents and young adults. She has a special focus on conducting forensic evaluations (mental health assessments to inform decisions in the legal system) and treating conditions related to anxiety, trauma, depression and substance use. She provides psychotherapy for individuals ages 5 to 25 as well as sessions for children and their caregivers as pairs.

In her research, McPhee focuses on promoting positive outcomes for youths involved in the juvenile justice system by providing treatment and championing policies based on the latest evidence of how children's brains develop. She is also involved in projects that support training professionals on providing trauma-informed care – care that recognizes and is sensitive to emotional damage in personal histories – to children and adolescents.

McPhee earned her master's degree in psychology and a doctorate in clinical psychology, with a focus in forensic psychology, from Drexel University. She completed her internship at the University of California, Davis and her postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF.
