Dr. James E. Crawford-Jakubiak is a pediatrician who cares for infants, children and adolescents when there are concerns of physical abuse, sexual abuse or serious neglect. He works at the Center for Child Protection at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, where he and his colleagues see about 1,000 cases each year.
Crawford-Jakubiak earned his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Maine Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in general pediatrics and child abuse and neglect at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Crawford-Jakubiak has received distinguished service commendations from multiple law enforcement jurisdictions, child protection service agencies, the Department of Justice and American Academy of Pediatrics.
