Clinical social worker
Gina Kossler is a social worker who cares for children. She provides counseling, advocacy, education and links to community resources, while seeking to eliminate any barriers to care. Taking an approach that focuses on family strengths and recognizes individual histories of trauma, she helps patients and their families cope with the life changes and stress associated with chronic illness.
Kossler earned her bachelor's degree in social work at the University of North Carolina and her master's degree in social work at San José State University. She has worked at UCSF since 2001.
