Dr. Emily Frank is a pediatrician who cares for children from birth through adolescence. In addition to providing primary care in the clinic, she treats patients with urgent medical needs in the pediatric emergency departments. Seeking to inspire change, she has a particular interest in helping young people develop their abilities to obtain and use health-related information and advocate for their own care.

Frank earned her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at UCSF as a member of the PLUS Program, which trains pediatricians to advance health care equity so that all children can thrive.

With training in integrative medicine, Frank can also provide acupuncture, acutherapy, clinical hypnosis and manual medicine treatments to her patients. She is completing a fellowship through the University of Arizona's Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.

To promote diversification of the medical workforce, Frank works in the Oakland public schools system to increase young people's interest in pursuing careers in health care. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and serves on the executive committee for its Council on School Health.
