Dr. Vinod Sebastian is a surgeon who repairs heart defects in children and adults. His primary focus is on babies born with complex heart disorders. He seeks to help his patients thrive as they recover from heart surgery and considers it a privilege to help them.

Sebastian earned his medical degree at Government Medical College, Kottayam in India and completed his residency in general surgery at Monmouth Medical Center, part of RWJBarnabas Health. He completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center and received additional training in pediatric cardiac surgery at Stanford University.

Sebastian volunteers at Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust, a nonprofit facilitating free health care for children. He performs heart surgeries on children in India whose families cannot afford this care. In his free time at home, he enjoys activities with his family, especially his two sons.
