About me

Pronouns: She | Her | Hers

Dr. Mansi Desai is a specialist in caring for hospitalized children.

Desai's research focuses on ensuring patients receive care that centers on their individual needs and enables their active participation. Specifically, she collaborates with providers both at UCSF and nationally to develop pathways of care – such as algorithms and guidelines – that will improve treatment of common ailments, such as asthma. She is also committed to medical education. She enjoys working with UCSF's trainees, and she curates and updates the hospital medicine curriculum.

Desai earned her medical degree from Ross University. At UCSF Fresno, she completed a residency in pediatrics, serving as chief resident.

Desai feels lucky that she gets to wake up every day and do something she loves, while working with and providing care for people she loves.
