Kristen Favel

Dr. Kristen Favel is a pediatric nephrologist who cares for children and adolescents with acute or chronic kidney problems, including those requiring dialysis and kidney transplant.

Favel's research focuses on improving the long-term kidney health of children and adolescents with diabetes.

Favel earned her medical degree at the University of British Columbia. She completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at British Columbia Children's Hospital. Also at the University of British Columbia, she later completed a master of public health degree and a clinician investigator fellowship.
