About me

Dr. Edward Chu is a pediatric hospitalist, a specialist in caring for hospitalized children. He cares for children in the acute care units of UCSF Children's Hospital Oakland. He is also a primary care pediatrician and is particularly interested in complex medical care, which focuses on addressing the needs of children with complicated care coordination, particularly medical needs that require expertise from multiple specialists. Chu is also an advocate for multicultural health, which focuses on providing culturally appropriate medical care and reducing health disparities.

Chu earned his medical degree at UCSF. He completed a residency in pediatrics at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, where he also served as chief resident.
