About me

Dr. Carmen Cobb-Walch is a hospitalist, a specialist in caring for patients in the hospital. She provides general internal medicine and pediatric care.

Cobb-Walch's interests in both patient care and research include immigrant and refugee health, health care of LGBTQ populations and global health. She is also interested in medical education, particularly the development of curricula and simulation training.

Cobb-Walch earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia and completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she served as chief resident. Before joining UCSF, she served on the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she worked as a hospitalist and co-directed the global health track, a specialized training program within the pediatrics residency.

Cobb-Walch is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
