Dr. Doaa Aly is a pediatric cardiologist who specializes in noninvasive imaging, including echocardiography (heart ultrasound) and cardiac MRI. She directs the pediatric 3D echocardiography program and is particularly interested in using 3D echocardiography to guide the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease in children, such as to perform cardiac catheterizations and surgical procedures. She is dedicated to providing her patients with comprehensive, professional and compassionate care.

Aly's research focuses on improving the health of children with heart disease through applications of advanced technologies, such as using artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cardiac imaging. She is also interested in digital home monitoring and wearable devices for patients with critical heart disease.

Aly earned her medical degree from the KasrAlainy School of Medicine at Cairo University. She completed pediatric residencies at Cairo University Children's Hospital and SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, part of the State University of New York system. She completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Children's Mercy Kansas City as well as a fellowship in pediatric advanced imaging at Children's Hospital Colorado. She also has a master's degree in bioinformatics and clinical research from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Aly is a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography and a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association.
