Pediatric anesthesiologist

Dr. Claire Brett is a pediatric anesthesiologist as well as a specialist in neonatology (the care of newborns who are premature or ill) and pediatric critical care medicine.

In her research, Brett studies the pharmacogenetics of membrane transporters (how individual genetic makeup influences the proteins that move substances such as medications across cell membranes).

Brett earned her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship at UCSF.
