Pediatric psychiatrist

Dr. Chuan-Mei Lee is a pediatric psychiatrist who cares for children and youths up to age 21 in the clinic setting.

Lee's research interests include integrating mental health services into pediatric primary care and providing vulnerable patients with access to quality mental health care.

Lee earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School. She completed a residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UCSF. She also completed a fellowship in health system design through Stanford Medicine's Clinical Excellence Research Center. She has a master's degree in modern thought and literature from Stanford University.

Lee serves as associate director for UCSF's fellowship program in child and adolescent psychiatry. She also directs research and program evaluation at the UCSF Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Portal, a program that supports primary care physicians who need consultations for young patients with behavioral health concerns.
