Dr. Carlos Botas is a neonatologist who cares for premature infants as well as sick infants born at term. He has a special interest in neonatal ethics. He feels fortunate to care for babies and to help parents through a stressful period.

Botas earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. At UCSF, he completed a residency in pediatrics, followed by a fellowship in neonatology.

Botas is passionate about medical education and enjoys teaching medical students, pediatric residents and neonatology fellows. Outside of work, he enjoys participating in international medical missions and spending time with his family.
