After surgery, she works with families to ensure their kids continue to heal. She also facilitates communication between primary care doctors and specialists and coordinates care throughout childhood for pediatric patients who need long-term neurosurgical care.

Marshall earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, where she studied Spanish, criminology and family health. She earned her master's degree in generalist nursing from DePaul University. When not working, she enjoys outdoor adventures and spending time with her dog.
